Back to the warm and the familiar.
I'm back in LA. The border crossing and TN permit were very very easy this time. I'm thinking that the main reason I was denied last time was that I was interviewed by a white kid and I think he was very new to the job and was basically just looking for any excuse to "flunk" me.

Tomorrow I'm looking at places in Irvine. This weekend I'll probably pick up a PHP manual and read through it so that I know what I'm doing when I start work on Monday.

Oh yeah - looks like Americans don't get a day off for Easter ... I thought they were supposed to be all religious and shit.

BTW, it was an exhausting drive. I'm totally spent.

If you want religous, go to Quebec, they get a few extra days off.

I don't really have an opinion on it. I think stat hollidays are counterproductive bullshit. I'm also against saturdays off and the 8 hour day.

I think the world would be a heck of a lot more productive if we worked 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, 50 (or 51) weeks a year.

Counterproductive? Maybe for work, but I'm productive in the home. So far this weekend I have cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, I got up this morning and dusted the living and dining areas. This afternoon (or tomorrow morning) I'll mop. I'll get laundry done, I got tidying done, I made lasagna last night and will make a fantastic meal tonight. I can't do stuff like that on work nights.

If we worked that much when would we get the other stuff done?

We'd find time for the other stuff.

If we worked 60 hour weeks, our wives wouldn't need to work. They could do the other stuff and have time left over for raising a family ... the way it used to be before everybody got lazy and sent the wife to work.

Hmmm... I could totally handle staying home all day and cleaning and cooking. That'd be pretty sweet.

It's not like I'm saying that women should stay at home barefoot and pregnant. Just that I want a lot of kids and if she isn't going outside why does she need shoes anyway? :P

Thanks. I was starting to worry that I'd be permanently shut out.
